An Adobe Advocate project.

After the Uniform was about service beyond the uniform. Working with Adobe, we helped document real stories of veterans facing life after the military. The project focused on dignity, truth, and the complexity of transition rather than surface level narratives.

Authentic storytelling

  • A man standing outdoors in a black t-shirt with a diamond-shaped logo and the number 2, hands on hips, looking at the camera, with a blurred natural background in black and white.

    Genuine Imagery

From California to South Carolina to Pennsylvania to Georgia to Colorado, spent time with exceptional Veterans and captured them in their post-military careers. These included an entrepreneur, a cowboy, a personal trainer, and a musician. In total 220 edited images were selected.

  • Side profile of a smiling woman with curly brown hair, wearing a light gray top, at the beach.

    Stories in motion

This project resulted in six completed short films, each of about 12 minutes in length. These films were a compilation of interview, B-roll, and archival footage (often of times of war). These films have positively impacted hundreds of Veterans and made an impact in a small way.
